Mr. Corley started his career with Bankers Life and Casualty. In 1986, he founded Corley Financial Services, a full service, Florida-based brokerage firm with membership in the National Association of Securities Dealers. In 1989, Mr. Corley took a position as a vice president in the New York office of Global America. He was subsequently promoted to senior vice president and led the firm in retail production and new accounts. When the firm ceased operations, he returned to Florida to help J.W. Charles Financial Services develop a European equity and bond institutional division. The new activity ultimately centered on the banking community in Switzerland, plus other major financial centers of Europe. Four years later, in January of 1993, Mr. Corley joined Merrill Lynch as a Vice President. As in prior assignments with other companies, he built a significant business and earned the President's Club Award. In 1995, Mr. Corley founded 1st Discount Brokerage (1DB), which began as a two person operation in Lake Worth, Florida. Since it was founded nearly a decade ago, 1DB has grown both organically and through acquisitions under Mr. Corley’s direction and now includes over 80 offices and over 200 IFCs. Additionally, 1DB has shown profit increases every year since the firm was founded. 1DB now maintains corporate offices in West Palm Beach, Florida and San Francisco, California.

Michael Raymond Cornell Fisher Mr. Fisher was a founding member of 1DB, joining the firm in 1996 after a lengthy career in the ministry. It was there he learned the skills of management, motivation, and team building that he uses today to help 1DB achieve service excellence. His favorite quote is “problems are just solutions waiting to happen”, which is well-appreciated by 1DB brokers who desire a great support system and quick resolution to issues as they arise. Mr. Fisher initially performed the duties of overseeing the DVP/RVP institutional division with emphasis on settlement of foreign trades for 1DB. He has also served as a sales manager and compliance officer, and continues to be a producing manager. Mr. Fisher is currently responsible for the daily operation of the firm. He also oversees risk management and new IFC assimilation as well as serves on the board of directors for 1DB Financial. Mr. Fisher focuses much of his spare time in volunteer activities with various community, educational, and religious organizations. He is a prominent speaker given to bringing challenge and accountability to daily life.
